Our readings today show us that the Spirit comes to us in different ways. Whether in a driving wind, tongues of fire, or the breath of Christ, the Holy Spirit comes and bestows on us many gifts. As we listen to these readings, let us reflect on how the Holy Spirit comes to each of us, and pray for the grace to use the Spirit’s gifts generously and wisely.
Question of the Week
How might I facilitate "the Spirit leading me into all truth" by undertaking my own continuing education in the faith through summertime reading of a scriptural commentary, or a new publication in liturgy, spirituality, or the Church’s social justice teaching?
You have blessed the people and families of Sacred Heart Parish
with an abundance of grace and joy.
We are grateful for all your gifts bestowed upon us.
Look with favor upon our efforts
to protect, enhance, and expand Your house, O Lord.
Stir up in us a spirit of gratitude and generosity, that we may respond sacrificially to Your call.
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus enflame our hearts, and inspire us in this spiritual endeavor that we joyfully undertake for You and Your Holy Church. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
